Is this aligned with California's AB 2927 requirements?
Yes. AB 2927 requires every California public high school to offer a personal finance course by 2027 to 2028. The Crescara//Project is a complete, full-year personal finance curriculum that meets that requirement. Schools that adopt it now will be ahead of the mandate when it takes effect.
What does it cost for a school to adopt this?
Pricing for schools and districts is determined on a case-by-case basis during the pilot phase. Reach out at
info@crescaraproject.org to start that conversation.
How long is the course?
The Crescara//Project is a full-year course, designed for junior year. Three units, 27 chapters, covering every financial topic a student needs before graduation. It is not a semester course, a unit add-on, or a one-day program.
Does the teacher need to be a financial expert?
No. The curriculum is written to be self-contained and self-explanatory. Teachers facilitate discussion and guide reflection. The content does the rest. A single orientation session is all that's required before launch.
What technology does a school need?
Any device with a browser. Chromebook, tablet, laptop, phone. No app download, no special software, no IT setup required. If a student can open a browser, they can access the curriculum.
How is student data protected?
Student privacy and data security are the single most important design requirement of this platform. Student financial reflections and personal data are protected with purpose-built security architecture. The funded version of the platform will meet or exceed all applicable student data privacy laws, including FERPA and COPPA. This is not an afterthought. It is the foundation.
How is this different from EverFi or NGPF?
EverFi offers supplemental modules, not a full course. NGPF provides resources that teachers assemble into lessons themselves. Neither hands a district a finished, sequenced, ready-to-teach curriculum. The Crescara//Project does, and it includes an interactive consequence-based learning tool that doesn't exist anywhere else in financial education.
Who built this, and why?
This curriculum was built by a founder with a Master's in Financial Management and years inside the financial industry at Prudential and Citadel, who also lived the exact cycle of financial exclusion this curriculum is designed to break. Not written by committee. Not designed from a textbook. Written from experience, built with rigor, and finished before asking for a single dollar.
When will the full platform be available?
The curriculum and the Consequence Engine are complete now. The full platform is in development and awaiting seed funding. Schools that connect now will be first in line for the pilot when it launches.
